Meet The Team
The Optimized Health Plans Team is passionate about helping you save money and live better lives!
I was born in Provo, UT but moved shortly thereafter to Southern California. I grew up in Murrieta, CA on a racing quarter-horse ranch. My childhood was spent mucking dirty stalls, pulling weeds and various other jobs on the ranch. I learned the value of hard work, but also gained a love for the outdoors. One of my fondest memories as a 14 year old kid was spending 10 days on horseback, toting our pack horses in the High Sierras in Central California, living off the land and sleeping under the stars.
I came back to Utah in 1995 to attend BYU. I currently live in Spanish Fork with my beautiful wife Melonie. In 2022 we celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. We have four AWESOME children Kyla (16), Logan (14), Ashlyn 11, and Londyn (8). They are growing up fast. Logan and Kyla love everything sports while Ashlyn and Londyn love to dance and the performing arts. I consider myself lucky and blessed to be called their dad.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS:
We love being outdoors and camping and look for every excuse to get out. Some favorite destinations include riding the trails in Marysvale, UT and running the river in Lava Hot Springs, ID, or hiking the trails of Zions and Bryce Canyons.
I find joy in helping other people. . . (especially to save money). My key to business is not to get my client(s) to pay the high premiums so my income is increased, but to get them to pay the smallest amount, so they are more inclined to tell their friends and family. I love to network and meet other people and find out their stories. I enjoy connecting with others and to create meaningful relationships.

Born in Argentina, raised in Sunny Southern California moving to Utah was super cold! But it has been a great place to live, work and play.
I have been with OHP since 2016. It has been a great experience; I have built great relationships with amazing people. It has truly been amazing to hear clients say, “wow! that’s all I have to pay for that plan?”
When I’m not providing clients with amazing savings on awesome plans, I am helping my husband at our Mechanic Shop, Ken’s Master Auto in Salem, doing anything I can to help.
PLAY TIME equals FAMILY TIME, with only one kid home out of 2 it’s easy to just load the trailer and go for the weekend camping, Sand dunes with the RZR is so much fun as well as just exploring. Sometimes we even get the pleasure of having our oldest and his fiancé (Wedding scheduled for August 3, 2019) join the fun.
I also love animals and have a small Zoo at home, 3 dogs and 2 ferrets. They are all super spoiled. Including homemade meals that I truly believe have kept Cancer from returning on my 11-year-old Rottweiler.
Having family in California, it’s still a MUST to go visit them as often as possible and sneak in a quick day at the Beach.
Taylor Ferrel leads the Customer Relations team at Optimized Health Plans, bringing three years of dedicated experience in the insurance industry. With a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration, Taylor combines a strong educational foundation with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Taylor is committed to ensuring that every client receives personalized attention and support, guiding them through their healthcare journey with expertise and compassion. Outside of work, Taylor’s enthusiasm for helping others drives their continuous professional growth and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of our clients.
De Kinsey is the Chief Technical Officer at Optimized Health Plans, where she expertly manages the integration of technology with personalized insurance solutions. Specializing in life, health, home, auto, and business insurance, De is dedicated to providing clients with comprehensive coverage that meets their unique needs. When she’s not streamlining processes or optimizing client experiences, you can find her in the mountains hunting, golfing, hiking, or chasing her three kids around. De’s passion for the outdoors is matched only by her commitment to helping others protect what matters most.
I grew up in Redmond, Oregon where I spent most of my days playing sports! I played Basketball, Soccer and Tennis during my High School years. After graduating I was able to volunteer as a missionary and live in England for 2 years. It was an amazing experience and I learned that I loved helping people! I then went to BYU-Idaho for a year, meanwhile I was writing Jessika, who I met while in England, and is now my amazing wife! Jessika is from West Jordan, Utah and I was fortunate enough to be able to transfer to BYU, so I could be closer to her. We got married October 10th, 2020. Jessika is currently attending UVU and is studying Health Education.
I am currently studying Statistics with an emphasis in Applied Analytics. I have learned so much and am extremely fortunate to have joined Optimized Health Plans as the Chief Leak Finder (CLF) and be able to apply what I have been learning in my major. As the CLF I make sure that we are receiving commissions for the clients that we have helped. This enables us to reach out to even more people, so they too save on their Health Insurance. I have been able to help clients save on Life Insurance plans, which is another role that I have here at OHP. My goal is to not push for the higher premium products with life and health insurance, but to help you save so you can focus on more important things in your life.
Lauren loves a good time, which is why she loves Health Insurance! She currently resides in Spanish Fork, UT with her husband and two kids. When she’s not looking for subsidies for her clients or a great deductible, she loves to travel, bake, and spend time with her family on adventures. Lauren loves being a part of the Optimized Health Insurance team and is thankful every day that she gets to work in an industry that she loves!
Born and raised in south central Utah, Stephanie Laws is dedicated to helping rural individuals and families secure the coverage they need. Dan Lovingier is a dedicated family man, happily married to his wife Dianne, and the proud father of seven children. He is also a loving grandfather to 23 grandchildren and recently celebrated the arrival of his first great-grandchild. With a deep passion for helping others, Dan takes great pride in making a positive impact on people's lives. Outside of work, he enjoys horseback riding and spending time in the great outdoors.
